Mahendra Singh Dhoni a brand icon to entire cricketing world as the Captain of Indian Cricket who holds the records under his belt with his head down to earth all the time. He is further tagged to be Mr. Cool in Indian Cricket. As he never loses his Temperament in and off the field. Well known for his tactics on the field. He tries to work things different to get results in his favor under difficult circumstances and been successful in his ways for the last 4 years or so.
The Man with the Midas touch slipping down with consistent failures overseas and lacking the kind of aggressive field set he places when they get low score to defend. All happened good for him till 2011 World cup. All of a sudden they lost to England and Australia Test series not with a single win. And there comes the debacle.
Issues with the senior players in the team such a Gambhir and Sehwag particularly. They are a little slow in the field and Dhoni is no where to take that as he believes catches wins matches. But they had no other go when they talk about experience.
He is been on top under critics notes when he led India down quite a couple of times especially in T20's where India looked comfortable on winning against NZ at chennai and end up losing which had a big hand of the skipper. It's just a matter of timing. And you can't predict who's going to win a T20 until the last ball was bowled. That's what T20 is all about.
Considering the current T20 World cup where India managed to give below par performances with the kind of potential the team carries. They got match winners in their side and some good bowlers too who can actually raise up to the occasion and deliver. All has to fall in one plane to get a win.
For now they lost badly against Australia and sealed a win against Pakistan to level the equation 1-1. They had to go all guns to snatch a win against mighty South Africans which is now under Gary Kriesten's camp. So it's never that easy to face worlds quickest bowler Dayle Steyn and a game changer like A B de villiers.
Well, he is having a clear route with 7 batsmen and 4 bowlers. And he can get part timers like Yuvi and Kholi in when someone goes for many. So far the part-timers provided breakthroughs for India when in need. So It's not that necessary for him to take a gamble whether to play Harabajan or Ashwin. Just frame out your team with the stock you have. Pick the best side and just go out and outplay the opposition. If want to get sehwag out of the side?! Just forget about it. Because you can't replace sehwag with Irfan as an opener. If Shewag gets going he wins matches single hand. That's his strength and you can't keep him in the box for so long.
It's Virat's Time running. He is making the rescue all the time. He is called as purple patch with the amount of runs he scored in less time. He is a gifted cricketer with loads of talent. Wish I could see a future captain in him.
My Team XI would be Sehwag, Gambhir, Virat Kohli, Yuvraj Singh, Rohit Sharma, Dhoni, Ashwin, Pathan, Balaji, Zaheer and one player can be rotated Btw Harabajan and one extra fast bowler depends on the opponent they play.
It's all happening as like 2007 T20 world cup. They lost the 1st super 8 against NZ and won the game against England to stay alive in the hunt. And then they won over SA to enter semis. Same as here they lost their 1st match against Australia and won over Pakistan and yet to play SA to enter semis. Hope they repeat the history.
